Sacred to the memory of
ELIZABETH KNOX,
formerly of Ardstraw, Tyrone, Ireland,
who departed this life on the
19th day of October 1908,
aged 99 years.
After making provision for the relatives
of her late husband and herself,
she left a very large sum of money
amongst the charities in Auckland, and to
the parish of Ardstraw, the bulk of it being
devoted to the establishment and maintenance
of a Hospital for Incurables in Auckland.
He that hath pity upon the poor,
Lendeth unto the Lord,
And that which he hath given
Will He pay him again.
