The bracketed part of this inscription was taken from the 1958 transcription but the remains of the stone have since disappeared. The words on the lower half indicated what was seen when the stone was located. The text below the brackets were read when the stone was originally located. The Marriage Index for St Patrick's Cathedral lists this marriage as John Donovan to Catherine Ryan 31st August 1867. Note the 1958 transcription says Katherine, the marriage Index says Catherine - compiler's research indicates Catherine is the more conventionally Catholic way of spelling this name. This grave is a large one with low concrete kerbing, the tombstone of William Barrow lying loose alongside.
