The Early Settlers Roll calls this man P. L. Dignan which probably stands for Lynch as the available information indicates. Mary Dignan née Derrom was called Mary Anastasia Dignan on the Cemetery Burial cards at the Auckland Public Library. The Index of Marriages at St Patrick's Cathedral lists their marriage - Patrick, son of Petro Dignan and Marguerita Lynch (Peter and Margaret?), of Gadly, Ireland to Mary, daughter of Richard Derrom and Maria Windyr, Co. Lankichor, England, on 23rd July 1846. There is another Dignan family grave in the Waikaraka Park Cemetery at Onehunga.
