The Early Settlers' Roll of 1940 lists William Tidmarsh as (1805 -1895) as arriving on the "Jane Gifford" but compiler cannot find anything to verify this fact. It would appear that William Tidmarsh married three times. No death was found for Caroline Tidmarsh 1860 to 1920 but a death for an Ann Tidmarsh was registered 1866/60. There were two deaths found for William Tidmarsh - one 1881/4 at Auckland and the other 1895/105 at Onehunga.
